Cold Space: Orlando

Cold Space: Orlando is a fast-paced top-down 2D pixel shooter where our player and their friendly shadow with a gun attempt to take revenge against those who have brought them harm... over and over again until they are successful. As the saying goes... "If at first you don't succeed, hit the R key and try, try again."

This game was created in (less than) 48 hours by a team of two programmers and a musician for the Game Maker's Toolkit Game Jam 2021. The goal of what we wanted to achieve within the short time-frame was gameplay that felt quick, crisp, and satisfying to execute alongside fantastic background music.

Controls

• Move around with WASD
  
• Move the mouse to rotate the character and the Shadow Clone
  
• Switch between your gun and your sword with RMB
  
• Swing your sword or fire your gun with LMB
  
• Hit the Left Shift key to summon your Shadow Clone who will then aim where your aiming and fire when you fire!
